7 months in Oman! And other Good news.

By Nicole Brewer

Hello Globe-trotters! I hope all is well where ever you are across the globe at the moment.  It’s been a whirlwind of highs and lows the past couple of weeks on this side of the globe in Oman.  Yesterday officially marked my 7 month anniversary of teaching at the College of Applied Sciences in Nizwa, Oman. I’m baffled at where the time has gone but what can you say time flies when you’re having fun right?? Not all has been fun and globe-trotting while here but overall it’s been one heck of a ride here in the Middle East. I’m adaptable and roll with the punches which one Has to do if they’re going to make it in a small town such as Nizwa.

For those who don’t know one of my main goals was to apply to grad schools for the coming fall/winter terms in hopes of winning an elite scholarship through the Erasmus Mundus organization in Europe. Well… I may not have won the top prize but I’m sure pleased to announce that I was accepted into one of my top choice joint Masters programs in International Humanitarian work and (Inshallah) will be moving to Germany this fall!! I’m still figuring it all out.  But at this moment I’m putting it out there that my dreams are coming true and am Very grateful.

I appreciate all of the love and support I’ve been getting from my family, friends and globe-trot fam.  From making incredible connections on recent journeys here in Oman, to writing travel articles, I indeed feel blessed and am a firm believer of Living the law of attraction.  You should too :-).

Congrats!! That’s a wonderful accomplishment and testament to being on the right track! I’m in the process of applying to graduate International programs as well, but am becoming more comfortable with my Middle Eastern set up here in the UAE. So I totally get it! 🙂 You are on the right path, Alhamdulillah! 🙂
