It’s Here! A Guide to Landing an English Teaching Job Abroad

By Nicole Brewer

Greetings GTs! I’m so excited to share with you all that I have officially completed my first self-published book entitled “A Guide to Landing an English Teaching Job Abroad.” As most of you know, I’ve been working abroad for over 8 years as an English language teacher. I taught for over 3 years in Busan, South Korea on both the elementary and high school level. After that, I moved on to work on the college level here in Oman for more that 4 years.

In this time, I’ve learned a lot about the ESL (English as a Second Language) field of work. In A Guide to Landing an English Teaching Job Abroad, I not only document about my personal experiences teaching abroad, but I also interviewed 14 other English language teachers about their experiences as well. It will assist those looking to find employment as English language teachers in locations such as Oman, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, Qatar, Hong Kong and more destinations around the world. It is choke full of useful information for those interested in traveling the world through educating others.

The book also gives practical interviewing tips, sample teaching resumes, a comprehensive resource list of companies and recruiters and so much more. I’ve spent a great deal of time researching, interviewing and compiling data that will greatly assist those on their journey to becoming English teachers across the globe. I’m super excited to reveal this book to the world in hopes of helping people fulfill their dream of becoming expats and seeing the world. Feel free to share with those that you think would benefit from this guide. Thanks globetrotters and as always, happy globetrotting!

This looks really useful! It’s great that you’ve drawn on your own huge wealth of experience, but also that of others too. I can tell from the contents pages you’ve included here that all the details are covered. Great job for a line of work that is popular and very much in demand 🙂

Appears to be well researched and thought out. I know several people who have taught English abroad and generally they all say it is a great experience,
