I recently trotted to Doha, Qatar for a weekend escape during Oman’s National Day holiday break. During my trip I enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Melia Doha located in the West Bay area of the city. The 5 star Melia Doha boasts a luxurious contemporary design and is the first Spanish hotel in this dynamic Middle Eastern city.
The high tech hotel features a host of amenities and services including a fully equipped health club with personal training service, a swimming pool on the third level, a business center and a fully service spa. I managed to partake in a luxurious pedicure at the on site spa and enjoyed the hospitality of the staff there. Additional services include a business center, the exclusive 8th floor Level lounge to receive luxury VIP treatment, access to Banana Island or Katara beach and dry cleaning services.
My luxurious suite, located on the 32nd floor had amazing sweeping views of the city. I thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable bed and amenities including free internet access, a 42 inch flat screen TV and a huge bathroom with a separate tub for lounging and relaxing. The fully stocked mini-bar included loads of snacks and drinks, in addition to coffee/tea service and a desk in the living area.
Melia Doha also features the Riqqa coffee shop which offers an array of gourmet sandwiches, snacks and coffees located in the stunning lobby. It also has the award winning Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor restaurant which offers upscale Indian cuisine (review coming soon). Sip on a fresh cocktail at the Le Pool bar or Noir cocktail bar.
I enjoyed a fabulous Friday afternoon brunch which features both Spanish dishes from Aceite Signature Restaurant and fabulous Indian dishes from Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor. I managed to dine on a fabulous spread of paella, salads, succulent chicken, fish and absolutely mouth-watering deserts, all while listening to a live Spanish band. Both restaurants had live music for guests enjoyment in each restaurant.
With impeccable staff, amazing views and decadent food choices, I highly recommend a stay at the Melia Doha hotel for a trot to this historic city globetrotters. You will not be disappointed.
***I was offered a hotel review stay by Melia Doha. All views and opinions are my own.***

OOh this hotel looks super plus and the food looks delish. I don’t know when I will make my way out to Qatar, but I’ll keep this hotel on my radar.
Yes! Beautiful!
The hotel suite looks gorgeous and oh, do comfortable. And that pool looks so inviting! I’m sure the 32nd floor views were amazing!
This food look delicious, but let me talk about that room. That suite was surely luxurious and so spacious!
I love visiting out the country to experience the different types of food they have at hotels! What do you do for a living in Oman?
Thanks! I’m an English teacher at a college here.
This looks so fab. I haven’t made my way to exploring the middle eastern region yet but they certainly seem to know how to do luxury right.
Very nice. I’ve stayed at the Melia in Nassau Bahamas. It was a cool place. I enjoyed it. I need to visit more locations. Your photos are fantastic. I’m ready for a trip!
This looks like a beautiful hotel. I love the decor in the rooms. The room looked clean. The brunch layout looked AMAZING.
Well everything looks fantastic! Especially the pool… and the room… wow. Adding to my list.
