The Cooking Experience Barcelona, Spain

By Nicole Brewer

While on winter vacation in Barcelona I tried to take in not only the mystical architectural feats that the city offers but also wanted to dine on some of Spain’s most infamous foods. After completing a lovely free walking tour one of my last nights in the city at the Travel Bar, I learned about the most awesome experience that they offered called the Cooking Experience where you will not only enjoy the scrumptious treats of tapas, paella and sangria but actually have the opportunity to go to the market with the chef, pick out all of the fixings and observe your lovely meal being made first hand in his private kitchen!

I enjoyed this same experience so much in  my cooking class in Italy that when I learned about it there in Barcelona I Had to try it. It was indeed again one of my most favorite experiences on a globe trotting adventure to partake in.  I met with other amazing globe-trotters from Taiwan to Australia and we had loads of fun breaking bread and getting to know one another. If you’ve ever wanted to know how to make Sangria I’d suggest you check out the below video of our awesome chef making it fresh for us.  I think he may have made several rounds to keep up with our party ;-). Enjoy the food and drink shots globe-trotters!

That sounds like it was great! I did a cooking class once in Cambodia, but I never really had a cooking experience 😀
