Xmas market fun in Essen, Germany

Greetings globe-trotters! The time is winding down, only 1 more week of classes left of the year, yippie!! Can you tell I’m excited ;-). In addition to working hard here in Germany this holiday season I’ve been trying to get my fix of holiday cheer by going to various Xmas markets before my awaiting winter break in Barcelona next week. This past weekend I said rain or shine I would venture to an Xmas market and the market in Essen, Germany did not fail. Even with a few raindrops here and there, it was a gorgeous display and I was delighted to see the holiday cheer on various faces of family and friends in the crowds.
